102 additional persons have tested positive for COVID-19.
According to the Health Ministry’s 10am Update, 33 of these are persons who were already housed at a public health quarantine facility and have not been in circulation within the national community.
It adds that these are results from samples taken during the period August 28th to September 4th, 2020.
There has also been one additional COVID-19 related death – an adult male with co-morbidities.
This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 32.
10 additional persons have been discharged.
As such, there are now 1,393 active cases of the virus in T&T.
100 persons are currently warded at hospital, including five in the Intensive Care Unit and 11 in the High Dependency Care Unit.
1,185 positive patients have been home isolated under the continuous monitoring of the respective County Medical Officer Health offices, while 69 patients will be processed for admission at the discretion of the CMOHs.
39 positive patients are in step-down facilities.
Since the start of the pandemic, a total of 2,142 persons in this country have tested positive.
