2nd bar owner arrested for breaching public health ordinances


    Another bar owner has been arrested for failing to follow the public health ordinances forcing their closure amidst COVID-19.

    This is according to National Security Minister Stuart Young.

    The TTPS says the man who owns a bar in California has been granted $1000 bail at the Couva Police Station.

    He is due to appear in court on Wednesday 1st April 2020.

    It is currently an offence under regulation 3, for any person to conduct the business of a bar, whether or not the person is licensed under the Liquor Licences Act.
