Starting this Friday, a second COVID-19 booster shot will be available to certain persons in T&T.
This announcement came from Health Minister, Terrence Deyalsingh, during the Health Ministry briefing this morning.
Mr. Deyalsingh said there are 51,722 Pfizer vaccines on hand, which will expire at the end of June.
Meanwhile, regarding COVID-19 shots for the 5 – 11 age group, he revealed that the donation from Spain is now en route to T&T.
Mr Deyalsingh also gave updated figures as it relates to COVID-19 cases in schools.
He says between May 9th and 15th, a total of 328 positive cases were detected in 153 schools.
Meanwhile, tests were carried on students from 404 schools.
The Minister broke this down even further.
