The EBC has noted that it has complied with all the Ministry of Health’s Covid-19 guidelines and that it is safe for persons to go out an exercise their franchise.
There are an estimated 2,200 polling stations with over 1.1 million citizens eligible to vote.
There are 19 political parties contesting the elections with 150 candidates in the 39 constituencies in Trinidad and two in Tobago.
