Arrive Alive pleased with new road laws

Arrive Alive President Sharon Inglefield believes the new road laws being implemented from Tuesday May 26th will certainly change driver behaviour once properly enforced, by either camera detection, or the TTPS on our nation’s roads.

The first features to roll out from the U-Turn System is the issuing of Demert Points to licences, as well as a new fixed penalty system along with machines that can access driver’s information and issue traffic tickets quicker.

Ms. Inglefield believes technology is imperative to criminal detection on our roads and in our country, and the improved enforcement will make drivers accountable for their poor actions.

She also says now is the time for drivers to re-educate themselves and to take defensive driving classes.
