ASP Rampath says illegally parked vehicles in POS being wrecked

Persons are still parking illegally in Port of Spain despite numerous warnings from the Police Service in the lead-up to Carnival.

This was the update from Assistant Superintendent of Operations Harnarine Rampath, of the Traffic and Highway Patrol Branch, at 7:25am today.

He says several vehicles have already been wrecked.

ASP Rampath says if persons return to where they parked and do not find their vehicles, it will be at the Licensing Office on Wrightson Road.

He says that’s the same facility they used last year to house the impounded vehicles.

Meanwhile, ASP Rampath gave an update on the J’ouvert celebrations.

ASP Rampath says officers from the Traffic and Highway Patrol Branch are posted at key areas on the outskirts of Port of Spain.

This is to ensure the safety and security of revellers and those enjoying the Carnival festivities.
