Tropical Depression Nine has formed over the Bahamas and is expected to bring rain and strong winds to the island chain that is still struggling in after Hurricane Dorian.
According to the National Hurricane Centre, tropical storm conditions are expected within the warning area in the north-western Bahamas tonight and early Saturday.
Tropical storm conditions are also possible in the watch area on the Florida peninsula by Saturday or Saturday night.
The depression is forecast to become a tropical storm tomorrow, and could take the name Humberto.
Despite the system not being a storm at this time, a Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for the northwestern Bahamas excluding Andros Island.
And a Tropical Storm Watch is in place for parts of eastern Florida.
