SEA prep classes discontinued, exam still on the cards

From tomorrow, SEA preparation classes will be discontinued.

The 2020 SEA Exam however remains on the cards, for now.

The exam is scheduled for August 20th.

This announcement came this afternoon from Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley during a media conference.

It follows recent incidents in which schools had to be shut down, either due to contact tracing, or because students tested positive for COVID-19.

Dr Rowley however was critical of TTUTA, which recently called on teachers to stay at home from classes, given the increase in cases of the virus.

Dr Rowley says the situation will be monitored, and adjustments made depending on developments.
