Caribbean Airlines has announced the start of twice weekly non-stop service between Jamaica and Cuba from November 6th.
The new flight is expected to operate on Wednesdays and Fridays using a Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft with a seating capacity of 150.
The latest launch follows the start of twice weekly non-stop service between Kingston and Barbados which began in April, and the introduction of service between Kingston and Grand Cayman which will commence on October 29th.
CAL CEO Garvin Medera says the airlines is committed to strengthening connectivity in the region and adds that the company is expanding its northern hub in Jamaica.
CAL says customers can look forward to special fares between Kingston and Havana from as low as US$139 one way (before taxes).
