With 85% of COVID-19 cases presenting with mild or no symptoms, health officials are reiterating the importance of staying home even if they feel only slightly unwell.

Dr Lisa Indar, one of CARPHA’s directors, today revealed the statistic, stating that staying home is one of the many steps to take in reducing spread of the virus.

However, she laments that some people are still flouting this piece of guidance and increasing the risk for persons around them.

Meanwhile, Dr Joanne Paul of the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex says children are also presenting mostly mildly or asymptomatically.

She is urging persons to avoid events like Halloween parties.
