Two Pennywise branches have been closed for sanitization, as the Health Ministry continues tracing for a COVID-19 case.
Case #139, confirmed yesterday evening, was detected at a Health Centre locally and investigations are continuing to determine how this person contracted the virus.
According to Chief Medical Officer Dr Roshan Parasram, the individual has been showing symptoms for about a week, but continued to move about as normal.
Dr Parasram says one of the patient’s primary contacts would have interacted with Pennywise, leading to closures for sanitization.
Another location of concern he mentioned is an FCB outlet in El Socorro.
Persons are again being urged to stay at home and self isolate if they have symptoms of any sort.
