The Chief Medical Officer is asking employers to be aware of the discharge criteria for persons who are either in quarantine or isolation at home.
This, after reports that some employers have been asking workers to provide a negative PCR test before they are allowed back on the job.
CMO Dr Roshan Parasram today outlined the difference between quarantine and isolation, as well as the relevant discharge criteria.
Quarantine is for those who have been exposed to the virus but are not positive.
Isolation is for those who have contracted the virus and are at home.
Dr Parasram then reminded employers that the discharge criteria will allow persons to return to their job when it is safe.
