There’s been a “downtick” in T&T’s COVID-19 daily infection rate according to the CMO but the Prime Minister says no changes will be made to regulations just yet.

Dr Keith Rowley made an appearance at the Health Ministry’s media briefing this afternoon where CMO Dr Roshan Parasram also spoke.

While giving the local update on the virus, Dr Parasram stated that stats are showing a decline.

Meanwhile, Dr Rowley noted that it appears that COVID-19 regulations are working.

However, he says a lower infection rate is needed for T&T to be able to participate in a regional travel bio-bubble.

In terms of regulations, the PM says “steady as we go”.

The measures already in place will remain until October 11th 2020.
