A Commonwealth election observer group is in Guyana to observe the upcoming general and regional elections.
The group, led by the former Barbados Prime Minister Owen Arthur, arrived in Georgetown on Sunday.
They have since begun briefings with key stakeholders, including the Guyana Elections Commission, political parties, civil society groups, the police and the media.
And on Friday, teams will be deployed around the country to observe final preparations, polling day activities and the post-election day environment.
The Regional Elections will take place alongside the General Election on March 2nd.
