T&T’s COVID-19 count has risen for the first time in just over a month with case 117 being recorded.
The patient returned to T&T via an air ambulance after receiving an exemption from the National Security Minister.
The person and two relatives were abroad for urgent medical attention and were taken into quarantine on their return home on Thursday at the Home of Football hotel.
According to the Chief Medical Officer, the relatives tested negative but will be closely monitored.
He says this occurrence does not affect the announcements of reopening made earlier today as there is no risk of spread.
