Denominational schools call for more security personnel


    After an attack on a teacher at an RC primary school, the Association of Denominational Boards of Education is reiterating its call for more security guards.

    The incident being referred to took place at the St Pius Boys’ school in Arouca where a female teacher was stabbed in her classroom.

    She remains warded at the Mt Hope Hospital.

    The association is also requesting that the Education Minister and staff review the existing security arrangements.
