Education Ministry urges parents to be vigilant

The Education Ministry is urging parents to be vigilant with their children, in light of the recent deaths of three youngsters.

Minister Anthony Garcia says the tragic loss reaffirms the need for everyone to do their part to avoid incidents involving children.

He has also extended condolences to the families of those who died recently.

Meanwhile, the Ministry is reminding parents especially at this time to keep children hydrated while outdoors, as temperatures have been increasing in recent weeks.

It says a balance of mental stimulation along with physical activity is also needed during this time away from school.

The Ministry adds that reading can be an impactful addition to the vacation break as it can keep students’ minds alert.
