Eight Golden Grove prisoners missing

Eight escaped prisoners, considered to be armed and dangerous, escaped from the Golden Grove Prison overnight.

Seven of them are on murder charges.

The Prison Service says around 6:05 am, officers attached to the Remand Facility discovered that the prisoners were unaccounted for.

Reports are that a hole was found dug under one of the perimeter fences, though that has not been confirmed by the Prison or Police Service.

However, the TTPS has put out an All Points Bulletin for the men’s recapture.

The escapees have been identified as Michael Findley, Olantunji Denbow, Stefon Austin, Kerry Valentino, Joshua Janet, Brent Johnson, Mikhale Mohammed and Atiba Sealy.

Sealy is charged for ‘Possession of a Firearm’ and ‘Armed Robbery’, while the other seven are charged for ‘Murder’.

The public is advised not to approach the men if seen, however their whereabouts should be reported to any police station or to the Prison at 623-7070.
