Filmmakers vow to “expose” Bollywood

Filmmakers are being motivated to make movies about the seedy side of Bollywood.

According to the Hindustan Times, director Sanoj Mishra recently announced a project that he says will tell the story of strugglers who reach Mumbai in the hope of fulfilling their dreams

That film will reportedly be produced under the banner of Road Production and Sanoj Mishra Films and will be shot in Mumbai and Bihar.

Meanwhile another filmmaker Vijay Shekar Gupta reportedly told the Mumbai Mirror that his film “Suicide or Murder?” will fully expose Bollywood.

He says his the movie will reflect the lives of several actors and their struggles while revealing the secrets of the acting industry.

These projects come on the heels of a fierce debate about nepotism in Bollywood and how it impacts aspiring actors with no connections in the industry.

The debate was sparked by the recent suicide of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

He was reportedly suffering from depression in recent months, and investigations are continuing into his death.
