Maharashtra to re-open cinemas for Divali

As a Divali gift to movie-lovers in Mumbai, Maharashtra has decided to allow theatres in the state to re-start operations.

However they will only be allowed to function at  50% capacity and no eatables will be allowed inside.

The re-opening means Maratha Mandir will bring “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge” back to the screen.

The film has been running at the cinema for the last 25 years, with the exception of the recent pandemic-led lockdown.

The film, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, will reboot its run at Maratha Mandir from November 13th.

“Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge” was released some 25 years ago, on October 20th 1995.
