The creator of hit BBC TV series, Peaky Blinders, is partnering with a dance company to premiere a theatre show in the UK.

The TV series, starring Cillian Murphy, first aired on BBC Two nine years ago and received widespread critical acclaim.

Now, Steven Knight and the Rambert Dance Company have collaborated for Peaky Blinders: The Redemption of Thomas Shelby.

The theatre show opens on September 27th at Birmingham Hippodrome and it is expected that there will be dates for London and a UK tour.

BBC News says a live band will play specially-commissioned music.

The sixth and final season of the BBC TV series is set to air this year after Covid-related production delays.
