Sanjay Dutt is taking a break from work to seek medical treatment for a health issue.
The actor issued a statement on his official Twitter account today, though he did not state what the ailment was, or what the nature of his treatment will be.

The 61-year-old actor was reportedly admitted to Lilavati Hospital recently after complaining of breathlessness, however on August 8th, he tweeted that he had tested negative for COVID-19.
Just wanted to assure everyone that I’m doing well. I’m currently under medical observation & my COVID-19 report is negative. With the help & care of the doctors, nurses & staff at Lilavati hospital, I should be home in a day or two. Thank you for your well wishes & blessings 🙏

Reports coming out of India instead say he has been diagnosed with lung cancer, and that he would be heading to the US for treatment.
The actor himself however is yet to confirm this or respond to those reports.
