WWE superstar and actor John Cena has been confirmed to star in the next ‘Fast and Furious’ movie alongside Vin Diesel and the crew.
John wrote on Twitter: “For nearly 20 years, the Fast Franchise has entertained fans and created some of the biggest cinematic moments in history. It’s an incredible honor to join this franchise and this family.”
Cena has been acting for over a decade, but his last few years has been exceptional, with roles such as Agent Burns in ‘Bumblee’ the Transformers spinoff, and comedies such as Trainwreck, Daddy’s Home 2, Blockers and the voice of the Bull in animated film Ferdinand.
Cena is not expected to star alongside Dwayne The Rock Johnson in Fast 9, since The Rock may not appear, after choosing the spinoff of the Fast series — Hobbs and Shaw, which is scheduled to be released soon.
