18 year old Bollywood actress Zaira Wasim has announced her intention to quit acting.
She believes the profession “threatened” her relationship with her religion.
She explained her reasons in a lengthy social media post.
Many on social media were quick to react to the news, with many criticizing her reasons for quitting.
Among them was 90s actress Raveena Tandon.
I wish her luck and strengthAfter seeing this,I now regret my first immediate tweet after reading her statement.Maybe she was forced to write what was unacceptable to people like me who love films, cinema, the industry, that I was born into.Deleting the tweet that now sounds harsh. https://t.co/Okcg3NrCFa
