A family of three has appeared in court on gun charges.
The accused are 39 year old Clint Ramkissoon, his 23 year old wife Taslimah Ramkissoon, and his brother 37 year old Daniel Ramkissoon.
They were arrested over the weekend, after police executing a search warrant found a homemade shotgun and 11 rounds of ammunition at their home along the Toco Main Road in Matura.
They were jointly charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition, and appeared before Sangre Grande Senior Magistrate Gillian Scotland yesterday.
Clint Ramkissoon and his wife pleaded not guilty and were granted $50,000 and $55,000 bail respectively.
Daniel Ramkissoon pleaded guilty – he was remanded into custody and ordered to reappear tomorrow (December 12th)
Clint and Taslimah Ramkissoon are due to reappear on Thursday (December 13th).
