Eight farmers, who were recently warned about illegally extracting water, will soon be getting abstraction licenses from WASA.

The Trinidad Guardian reports that this was confirmed by Public Utilities Minister Robert Le Hunte who says they are also working on applications for a number of other farmers.

He has also given the assurance that WASA’s vigilance on water resources “will extend even beyond gated communities and throughout all of T&T to ensure potable water isn’t wasted.”
