Several fishermen are still not going out to sea out of fear, over a month after 7 men were killed by pirates in the Gulf of Paria.
On July 23rd, the men were thrown overboard after their boats were stolen.
Speaking at a media conference today, Carli Bay Fishing Association President Imtiaz Khan, says this incident could have been avoided through dialogue.
Mr Khan says fisherfolk and their families are still scared and are calling for a meeting with those in authority to discuss solutions to this problem.
