Flu death toll remains at 38

No additional flu deaths have been recorded over the past week.

In its weekly update, the Health Ministry says as of January 10th, the number of confirmed influenza deaths for the current flu season remains at 38.

Since the start of 2020, there have been 17 suspected influenza cases, while the number of suspected cases for 2019 was 3,638.

The Ministry meanwhile says it will continue its robust, nation-wide Influenza Vaccination Drive for the 2020 Flu Season which runs from October 2019 to May 2020.

So far 60,256 vaccines have been administered.

These continue to be available, at no cost, at all health centres.
