The SWRHA is being urged to review how it processes patients at outpatient clinics, following a reported incident in San Fernando.
According to a Guardian article, police were called in yesterday to address overcrowding at the city’s teaching hospital.
Only a few persons were being allowed into the building at a time due to COVID-19 concerns.
In a media release, Fyzabad MP Dr Lackram Bodoe says this was a case of the hospital’s management failing to anticipate and preempt the situation.
He also believes the Health Minister is failing in his responsibility to ensure oversight of the RHAs.
