103FM’s Vice-Chair Rashida Bolai has been inducted into the Caribbean Media Hall of Fame.
In a citation presented with the honour, her media career is hailed by the Caribbean Broadcasting Union as an impressive roadmap of how success was achieved through innovation, astute leadership and dedication.
She has also been recognized an icon, and a champion for industry excellence and freedom of expression.
Ms Bolai joined the Board of 103.1FM in March 2018.
She has vast experience in the media fraternity, having worked in various capacities in radio, print and television.
She held several positions at the Trinidad Express Newspaper and eventually rose to the position of Chief Executive Officer of CCN.
She has also served on the boards of several entities, including CCN, One Caribbean Media (OCM), The T&T Publishers and Broadcasters Association (TTPBA), Tobago News, Grenada Broadcasting Network, the Inter American Press Association, Commonwealth Broadcasters Association, Caribbean News Agency (CANA) and STARCOM Network and the Nation Group.
103FM would like to extend congratulations to Ms Bolai, who continues to be an innovative leader, dedicated to the development of local media.
