A number of areas in Central Trinidad, including Chaguanas reported flooding today, after some heavy showers.
Among the areas affected is Fredrick Settlement, where water is said to have invaded homes after brief, but heavy showers.
Resident Randy Kangal told 103FM News that approximately a dozen homes were affected by flooding this afternoon, and he is now fearful of what could happen with persistent rainfall.
Two months ago, Mr Kangal told 103FM of murky, stagnated water in the nearby drains, and he says nothing has improved since then.
Mr Kangal and others in his community also incurred significant losses during widespread flooding in October last year.
