Caribbean Airlines is not obligated to lease the Boeing 737 Max aircraft without proper approvals from the lessor and the Federal Aviation Authority.

The model has been involved in two crashes, forcing the FAA to order an immediate grounding.

Acting Prime Minister Colm Imbert today gave an update on the deal.

Mr Imbert says while a down payment was made for the deal, it will be refunding if the aircraft are not delivered.
