The Japanese Government has offered to support this country’s energy efficiency drive.
It was made by Japanese Ambassador Tatsuo Hirayama when he met with Energy Minister Franklin Khan recently.
Discussions focused on the ongoing Methanol to Dimethyl Ether project, the largest foreign direct investment from Japan in Trinidad and Tobago.
Minister Khan also reiterated that the Government values downstream investment and that further initiatives are even more valuable.
The Ambassador meanwhile proposed an agreement regarding Energy Efficiency to T&T, and this is currently being processed.
