The Jean de la Valette ferry is carded to dock in Port of Spain tomorrow, good weather permitting.
According to NIDCO, the vessel will undergo routine inspection and clearance by customs and excise upon its arrival.
After that, the process will begin to acquire the relevant approvals, and train local staff as required for the vessel’s operation on the sea bridge.
The Jean de la Valette is being leased by NIDCO to operate on the sea-bridge for a year.
According to reports, the vessel can accommodate 800 passengers and has a capacity of 230 cars.
