A 49-year-old Oropune Gardens man has been charged for stealing 116 pounds of tomatoes from cultivated land in Orange Grove.
The man was reportedly arrested yesterday evening, after a farmer went to tend to his crops and reportedly saw the perpetrator in action.
Officers of the Road Police Task Force under the supervision of Acting Inspector Harrylal responded and arrested the individual at the Orange Grove Estate.
The man was also charged for larceny of a water pump, blower and spray can valued $8000, in addition to praedial larceny.
He was also charged for breach of curfew and being found on cultivated land.
