Masks should be worn in the workplace.
This point was emphasized today by County Medical Officer for Caroni, Dr Jeanine St. Bernard.
According to Dr St Bernard, the county of Caroni currently has 26 active cases of COVID-19, the 2nd highest in the country.
She adds that while cases are going down, they have identified key issues by way of their contact tracing.
One is the matter of mask wearing in the workplace.
This point was later reinforced by epidemiologist, Dr Avery Hinds.
Another major issue identified by Dr St Bernard: parties and gatherings.
As for masks themselves, persons are urged to be more aware of which ones they choose.
According to Dr St Bernard, single layer and crocheted masks are less than ideal.
Persons are also reminded that the mask should properly cover the nose and mouth.
