There is 60% chance for at least one seven day rainfall spell between November 2018 and January 2019.
MET Service official Yogita Ramroop today issued a three month weather outlook, reminding that November is traditionally the second wettest month in Trinidad, and the wettest in Tobago
She says a seven day wet spell will, as the name suggests, see seven consecutive days of measurable rainfall.
November is forecast to be wetter than usual, however the general rainfall outlook for November to January indicates the likelihood of near normal rainfall in most parts of T&T.
The risk of flooding meanwhile remains high.
Ms Ramroop says warmer than normal temperatures are also expected.
As for 2019, February to April 2019 is likely to be drier than usual due the potential development of El Niño.
