Minister: no discrimination in water distribution, supply now settled

Public Utilities Minister Robert Le Hunte has denied allegations of discrimination in the distribution of pipe-borne water.

In recent weeks, many communalities in central and south Trinidad reported dry taps for days and even weeks at a time.

Minister Le Hunte says this was due to technical factors, and insists the supply has since settled down.

And while he says recent rainfall has helped the local water supply, the Minister is urging persons to continue conserving water.
