The Social Development Ministry says flood relief payments will be made within a shorter, two-week period as a new system is being used for processing.
In a media release, it says over 3,200 applications have been received by special unit of the National Social Development Programme.
It notes that the ministry is using the ARCGIS system to assess and validate all claims being made in order to have these claims processed quickly.
The Ministry says the unit is using a different system flow from the past and it has added resources to support the efforts.
It says persons who have not yet seen by the Disaster Management Unit visit the website grants.social.gov.tt and complete the Disaster Relief form.
The form can be submitted this online or at the nearest Social Welfare Office.
