The Education Ministry has met with stakeholders to discuss preparations for the new academic year which is due to begin in September.
Earlier this week the Ministry said Term 1 would feature remote teaching and learning, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
At yesterday’s virtual meeting, discussions focused on devices, connectivity, the broadcasting of lessons, guidelines for teachers, orientation of new students, guidance and support for students and parents, the School Feeding Programme, and the conversion of resources for students without digital access and those with disabilities.
The Ministry adds that a media conference will be held tomorrow to detail the plans which it says are designed to ensure that no child is left behind.
Yesterday’s meeting included stakeholders representing the interests of teachers, parents, principals, and ECCE, primary and secondary students, including students with disabilities.
