The Education Ministry says parents of students attending the St. Philip’s Government Primary School are satisfied with its relocation.
Classes will now be held at the Catholic Religious Education Development Institute building, which housed the former Belmont Boys’ R.C Primary School building in September 2018.
Minister Anthony Garcia says the Principal reported that parents are satisfied, since the school compound is large and well maintained.
He says parents are also pleased with arrangements by the Ministry to provide transport for their children to and from school.
The Minister says attendance at the school is back to normal, with all 76 students attending classes daily at the new location.
This, he adds, is a significant improvement since the student population dwindled to a mere twenty-five 25 prior to the relocation.
The St. Philip’s Government Primary School building was previously condemned by the Ministry of Works.
