Works to repair part of the Southern Main Road in Claxton Bay will start on Monday.
This has been confirmed by the Works Ministry following a protest by residents this morning near Rose Hill Junction.
The Ministry says rehabilitation was divided into two components, the second of which is the road repair starting on Monday and running each day between 8pm and 4am.
The first part of the works, which has been completed, was the removal of the existing footpath and construction of subsurface drains.
The Ministry says this was necessary to protect the road structure from saturation by water.
