Agriculture Minister Clarence Rambharat has referred a capuchin monkey, a protected animal, to police.
The monkey, seen in an online image, had on a PNM outfit and was being held by a person at what appeared to be a party rally.
On his Facebook page, the Minister outlined the illegal items seized from Venezuelans, which included illegal wild meat, wild animals, honey and cheese.
And in the comments section, one person posted the photo , questioning whether anything was done to bring in the monkey and deliver justice.
In response to the comment, the Minister said the information was shared with law enforcement.
