In light of the Met Service’s Adverse Weather Alert, the ODPM is urging citizens to take the necessary precautions to preserve the lives of their families and their properties.
The ‘Yellow Level’ alert came into effect at 5 this morning and is expected to end at 2pm tomorrow.
The ODPM says this means there is a moderate risk to public safety, livelihoods and property.
It says conditions may cause disruptions in a few places but these can be reduced if persons monitor and decrease their level of exposure.
To do this, the ODPM says those living or working in flood or landslide prone areas must be extra vigilant in protecting their lives and homes.
