One dead, after gunmen storm 5-Star hotel in Pakistan


    One person is confirmed dead, after three gunmen stormed a 5-Star hotel in the Pakistani province of Balochistan.

    The attack targeted the Pearl Continental Hotel, which is the focal point of a multi-billion dollar Chinese project.

    Separatist Balochistan Liberation Army claims that it was behind the attack, saying they targeted Chinese and other foreign investors.

    Most guests have been evacuated from the hotel.

    The armed men stormed the hotel around 4:30pm local time killing one security guard.

    The hotel is known to be popular with foreign visitors.

    It is unclear how many people were inside the building but officials said the majority of guests had been evacuated.

    The attack comes just weeks after gunmen killed 14 people, including 11 military personnel, in the region.
