Heavy rains have again impacted operations at three of WASA’s Surface Water Treatment facilities.
The Authority says these are being affected by clogged intake screens caused by high turbidity as a result of flooded river conditions.
The impacted facilities are in Tompire and Matura in North East Trinidad, and Highlands Road in Tobago.
Meanwhile, WASA says work is being carried out to address a mechanical problem at the La Puerta Booster Station.
This is expected to be completed tomorrow, October 4th.
Areas affected include: Upper La Puerta Avenue including Cumberbatch Lane, Broome Street, Pregnancy Lane, Hornerman Lane, Davidson Drive and environs.
