PAHO wants youth leaders input on tackling adolescent health

Young people are getting the chance to share their ideas on how to improve adolescent health in the Americas.

This will be done through the soon to be established Pan American Health Organization’s Youth Leaders Initiative, which will comprise about 20 participants, representing various sub-regions, genders and ethnic groups.

PAHO Director, Carissa Etienne says the organization is hoping to give them a voice so they can become part of the solution to improve their health and well-being.

The announcement comes as PAHO hosts a series of activities to commemorate International Youth Day, celebrated every year in the month of August.
