Palo Seco man due in court on drug trafficking charges


    A 32 year old Palo Seco man is due in court on drug trafficking charges following his arrest over the weekend.

    According to the TTPS, officers were on patrol in Penal when they stopped a white Hyundai H100 van and found 3 packets containing 1.5kg of marijuana.

    Quick action by police over the weekend led to the arrest of a robbery suspect.

    At 2pm on Saturday, 3 men robbed a supermarket at Cantaro Extension, Santa Cruz of cash and cell phones.

    They escaped in a burgundy Nissan Almera which was later stopped by officers in Maraval, with one occupant.

    Meanwhile, police discovered a pistol and 17 round of ammunition during an anti-crime exercise along Pump Trace, Laventille yesterday.
