PM: Parliament to meet Wednesday to end SoE


    Parliament will meet on Wednesday to bring an end to the State of Emergency.

    This has been announced by Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley at a media conference held today.

    He stated that the SoE, which includes the curfew, has achieved its objective.

    Dr Rowley meanwhile revealed that beaches will remain closed but gave some indication of possible plans.

    Dr Rowley also announced that:
    – Public gatherings remain at 10
    – Public fetes and parties in all forms remain prohibited
    – School arrangement will continue as it is
    – Religious gatherings remain at a maximum of 90 minutes but capacity has been increased to 50%
    – Non-religious indoor events are at 50% capacity
    – Persons allowed at the grave side increased from 10 to 25
    – Bars, Restaurants and Cinemas operate at 50% under Safe Zone arrangement
    – Public pools to be used by vaccinated persons under Safe Zone arrangement
    – Public transport remains at 75%
    – Consumption of alcohol in public remains prohibited
    – Border arrangements remain in place
