PM to be screened on return from Guyana

Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley will be screened at the airport on his return from Guyana.

This was confirmed by National Security Minister Stuart Young, as he responded to questions from the media regarding Dr Rowley’s visit to Guyana.

That country yesterday reported its first case of COVID-19.

Also speaking during today’s post cabinet briefing was Chief Medical Officer Dr Roshan Parasram, who says precautions are also being taken for passengers from the UK, US and Canada.

Despite COVID-19 cases in these countries, T&T has not placed any travel restrictions on them.
